Back in February this year, Rory presented at an RDA session on tool interoperability in research as part of RDA's 19th Plenary.
The session was focused on the barrier to organic workflows caused by the lack of tool interoperability, and how this impedes the ability to follow FAIR data principles at all steps of the research lifecycle. The session explored PID-centric workflows, best practises for ensuring research data and metadata are incorporated into the research record as well as shared to data repositories, and the challenges of tool interoperability. In his talk, Rory detailed how RSpace and Inventory aim to enable workflows supporting experimental reproducibility and comprehensive capture of sample data.
The recording is available above, as well as the meeting agenda.
